One person has been arrested on suspicion of murder as the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force intensifies investigations into recent gun crimes across the Territory.
The arrest was made during search operations at multiple locations, which also led to the recovery of a reported stolen vehicle and the seizure of several items of evidential value.
Police did not indicate which murder the individual was arrested in connection with.
The Territory has recorded two murders this year. K’moi Walters, 26, was fatally shot in Huntums Ghut on July 6, while businessman Kai de Castro was shot and killed in Brewers Bay on July 28.
The latest police action also followed an August 6 shooting near the Carrot Bay Cultural Fiesta, which reportedly left two people injured.
Police said enquiries are continuing and further information will be provided when appropriate.
