Works have started on the Road Town Jetty Enhancement Project, with preparatory activities taking place when BVI Platinum News visited the facility on Saturday.
The BVI Ports Authority (BVIPA) had announced that the project would begin on September 26, 2026.
According to the Authority, the project forms part of ongoing efforts to improve port infrastructure, increase operational efficiency and strengthen the Territory’s maritime facilities.
Members of the public, port users and other stakeholders are being advised to exercise caution around the project area and follow posted safety signs and instructions from authorised personnel.
The BVIPA said further updates will be provided as work progresses and thanked the public for its cooperation.
