EE/LL Festival Committee Recognises Sandra Potter

The committee said it was honoured to celebrate a woman whose impact continues to inspire the East End/Long Look community.

Ms. Sandra Potter has been selected as the 2026 East End/Long Look Parade Marshal.

The East End/Long Look Festival Committee announced Potter’s selection while recognising her leadership, commitment and lasting contributions to the growth and success of the community’s festival celebrations.

The committee said it was honoured to celebrate a woman whose impact continues to inspire the East End/Long Look community.

Potter will lead the East End/Long Look Parade on Wednesday, August 5, beginning at 1 p.m. The procession will move from East End Park to Greenland Field.

The activities begin on Sunday, August 2 with the Boat Race at Long Bay Beach, Beef Island. Activities start at 10 a.m., while racing begins at 1 p.m.

On Tuesday, August 4, the Cultural Showcase and Food Fair will be held at Greenland Field, East End, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The celebrations continue on Wednesday, August 5 with J’ouvert from Long Swamp to Long Bay Beach, Beef Island, beginning at 4 a.m. The parade will follow at 1 p.m. from East End Park to Greenland Field. Heritage Village’s Caribbean Day of Food and Culture will begin at Greenland Field immediately after the parade.
