BVI sprinter Beyoncé Defreitas secured silver in the women’s 200 metres at the 2026 Central American and Caribbean (CAC) Games held in Santo Domingo.
Defreitas crossed the finish line in 23.36 seconds, delivering another proud moment for the Territory near the end of her competitive season.
She also became the first BVI track athlete to reach back-to-back CAC 200-metre finals.
“Congratulations Beyoncé, you have done the BVI exceptionally proud,” the BVI Olympic Committee stated.
