Cricket fans at Greenland were treated to an extraordinary day of power-hitting as Guyana and St. Vincent & the Grenadines produced two dominant victories in the Nation Cup T20 2026 on Sunday, June 14.

In the opening encounter, defending champions, Guyana, delivered a batting masterclass to pile up a massive 296 for 9 from their 20 overs before restricting Jamaica to 196 for 7, securing a commanding 100-run victory and earning two points.

The Guyanese innings was built on explosive contributions throughout the order. Timothy Sookram led the charge with a breathtaking 66 from just 30 deliveries, smashing six fours and six sixes.

Dhanpaul Chrisnanand provided another devastating assault with 53 from 21 balls, including seven sixes, while Julian Bannet made 43 off 22 balls and Gavin Hitnarine raced to 31 from only 11 deliveries. Keion De Jesus added the finishing touches with an unbeaten 33 from 11 balls at a remarkable strike rate of 300.

Jamaica fought hard early in the reply with Jason Bobb-Semple scoring 41, Wayne Richards finishing unbeaten on 42 and Jermaine May adding 25, but Guyana’s bowlers shared the workload effectively.

Julian St. Clair and Timothy Sookram each claimed two wickets to complete a convincing victory. Sookram’s all-round performance earned him the Man of the Match nod.

The fireworks continued in the second match as St. Vincent & the Grenadine blasted an astonishing 290 for 7 before bowling out Grenada for 207 in 17.1 overs to win by 83 runs.
