The Road Town Jetty Building will temporarily close from Sunday, November 1 through Thursday, November 5, 2026, with international ferry arrivals and departures redirected to the West End Ferry Terminal.

The BVI Ports Authority (BVIPA) announced the closure this evening, saying it will facilitate essential health, safety and preventative maintenance works.

“The closure is a precautionary measure to address identified concerns and maintain a safe and healthy environment for employees, passengers and all users of the facility,” the Authority stated.

During the closure, His Majesty’s Customs and the Immigration Department will conduct the necessary clearance procedures at West End.

Arriving passengers must disembark there, complete Immigration and Customs clearance, and arrange ground transportation to their onward destinations.

However, passengers arriving on the final ferry service of the day will disembark at West End with their luggage for clearance, then reboard the ferry with their luggage for transportation to Road Town. They will disembark on the domestic side of the Road Town Jetty.

Passengers who would normally depart from Road Town must travel directly to the West End Ferry Terminal for their scheduled international services and departure formalities. They are encouraged to allow additional travel time.

The BVIPA said it is coordinating with relevant government agencies and ferry operators to minimise disruption.

Normal operations at the Road Town Jetty Building are expected to resume on Friday, November 6, subject to satisfactory completion of the works and confirmation that the facility is safe for occupancy.

The Authority reaffirmed its commitment to safe and reliable port facilities and the well-being of employees and passengers. It apologised for the inconvenience, thanked the public for its patience and cooperation, and urged travellers to monitor its official communication channels for updates.
