Residents of District Six, including students seeking community service hours, came together over the weekend to give the Purcell Estate Basketball Court a much-needed facelift as part of a community improvement effort spearheaded by District Representative Myron Walwyn.
Walwyn said the initiative reflects the importance of community collaboration and collective action.
“Community is about working together to get things done,” he stated.

“The students who came out to get community service hours were awesome,” he said. “They were great to work with and they produced.”
Walwyn also thanked Ronnie David and Sean-Troy Hanley for helping to organise the effort and supporting students participating in the project.
