Office of the Governor

(PLTM) - HMS Trent has docked at the pier in Road Harbour, Tortola. The Royal Navy ship supports the UK’s Overseas Territories - including the Virgin Islands - during the hurricane season, working with the BBVI DDM and other agencies so we are fully prepared to respond to a national emergency.

While docked, the ship’s Captain will host the Governor and the Premier. Its crew is ready to assist with the clean-up effort following Tropical Storm Ernesto and will meet with BVI DDM and representatives from frontline services, including health and law enforcement. HMS Trent is expected to depart the Virgin Islands on Monday, 19 August.
