Tenders Board No Longer Accepting Receipts As Evidence

(PLTM) - GIS - The Central Tenders Board is advising prospective tenderers that effective immediately, receipts from National Health Insurance, Inland Revenue Department and Social Security Board will no longer be accepted as evidence of being in good standing with these agencies.

Tenderers are required to furnish Certificates of Good Standing acquired directly from the Director of Social Security and National Health Insurance, and the Commissioner of Inland Revenue Department with their tender submission.

Section 38(10)(d) of the Public Procurement Act, 2021 requires any tenderer participating in the public procurement process to “be in good standing with respect to taxes, duties, social security contributions, national health insurance, company registration, or payment due to Government”.

For further assistance, Tenderers can contact the Procurement Unit in the Ministry of Finance at 1-284-468-2144.

well tell the inefficient departments to get their houses in order and process the applications for good standing. You cannot plan the applicant.

If the law is that an actual Certificate of Good Standing from Social Security, NHI and Inland Revenue is to be submitted, why was the office accepting a receipt only?\nThis is exactly why we have some of the problems we have in this country. You all should be ashamed to be informing the public at this stage that Receipts will no longer be accepted.\nPoor BVI.
