Update: Azim Yonnas Dies Following Long Bush Shooting

(PLTM) - Police have confirmed that the male who was injured during a shooting incident in Long Bush on Sunday night, September 3, has died.

The deceased is confirmed to be 26-year-old Azim Yonnas of Butu Mountain.

Information received is that he was shot by an unknown assailant(s) who subsequently fled the scene. The victim was transported to Dr. D. Orlando Smith Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Officers of the Major Incident Team are determined to bring the perpetrator(s) to justice.

Police confirmed a shooting last night in the Long Bush area. One male was injured and was taken to DOSH.

More information will be provided as it becomes available.

Investigations are ongoing.
