(PLTM) - The Virgin Islands Education System has recently welcomed six new public school principals.
Deputy Chief Education Officer (CEO) Mrs. Orlandette Crabbe said, “At the Ministry of Education, Youth Affairs and Sports we are pleased to announce the appointment of six new principals.”
According to government, Mrs. Crabbe said the Ministry’s aim is always to strengthen the leadership, and the appointment of these new principals is part of the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to improve the quality of education in the Virgin Islands.
The new principals are, Ms. NaTasha Marshall, Bregado Flax Educational Centre Secondary; Ms. Ashkisha Maduro, Ebenezer Thomas Primary School; Ms. Janelle Rhymer, Leonora Delville Primary School; Ms. Magdalene Alister, Eslyn Henley Richiez Learning Centre; Ms. Akima Powell, Robinson O’Neal Memorial Primary School; and Mrs. Candice Bolondia-Fraites, as assistant principal at the Enis Adams Primary School.
The Deputy CEO added that the appointments are a testament to the Ministry’s dedication to reimagining education in the Territory.
She said, “The Ministry would like to congratulate the appointees and extends thanks to all those who applied for the positions. Continue to pursue your passion in education, expand your experience, and apply innovative ideas, as this will undoubtedly raise the bar, foster greater transformation in the education sector and contribute to the success of Education in the Virgin Islands as we continue to move full S.T.E.A.M. ahead.”
