BVI Notified Of CXC Leak

(PLTM) - Chief Education Officer (CEO), Dr. Connie George, said on Thursday, May 18, she was notified by The Caribbean Examination Council (CXC) of a leak of the Mathematics Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) Paper 2.'

According to CXC, the leak originated in Jamaica.

“CXC has advised that due to a CSEC Math Paper 2 leak, the Council has decided that a modified approach will be used to award fair and valid grades,” Dr. Gerorge stated.

Dr. George added that the modified approach will now include results of the School Based Assessment (SBA) of Paper 032; and the Paper 01.

The Virgin Islands is a member of the Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC). The council was established in 1972 under Agreement by the Participating Governments in the Caribbean Community (CARICOM).
