Leadership Not About Throwing People Under The Bus-Penn

(PLTM) - Leader of the National Democratic Party (NDP) Marlon Penn took a jab at Premier Hon. Dr. Natalio ‘Sowande’ Wheatley for what he called throwing members of his team under the bus, including the Attorney General (AG).

Penn was speaking against the backdrop of the House of Assembly being historically recalled to correct and legalise the granting of Belonger status to some 688 persons under the Virgin Islands Party’s (VIP) Fast Track Programme.

Premier Wheatley had indicated that they went about the process back in 2020 based on advice from the former Attorney General (AG) Baba Aziz.

“We saw what incompetence gets us. Incompetence got us to be in the House [of Assembly] on Monday. Leadership don’t blame their team, leadership don’t throw the Attorney General under the bus and reverse over them,” he said during a meeting in Hope Hill.

He said: “Leadership takes responsibility, leadership figure out what needs to happen to go forward and that is what this team [NDP] will do.”

At the sitting to correct the mistake, sitting Attorney General (AG), Dawn Smith criticized the blame game by elected officials on the office of AG, and spoke to the competence of Aziz.

Good Advice

All of them need to go, everyone that was there before the COI all need to go, if the BVI is to make it forward get rid of them all, there are not good to represent us they are all very bad seeds. They have not done anything good for the BVI look at the conditions of the roads why should we constantly have to pay to fix our vehicles. This is real foolishness. BVI time to take back your islands from these waste of time good for nothing thrives.

This is not about leading the territory in the right direction, it is about ALPHA POSITION. CANT WAIT UNTIL THIS POLITICAL CIRCUS IS OVER. SOMETHING BIG IS GOING TO JUMP OFF AFTER THE ELECTIONS. ALL I CAN SAY IS VOTE WITH COMMON SENSE. LOGIC BEFORE FEELINGS.

NDP give Myron a pass for the wall and arrest

Marlon you could say that because you have said nothing about Myron arrest and charges for the corruption wall at the high school. You won\'t throw Myron under the bus because you want to be Premier so bad. You turning a blind eye and letting yourself be compromised for power. I guess you ain going throw Dr. Smith under the bus either for the $7.2 million NDP gave away for planes that never flew. I guess you think that NDP party loyalty makes you a good leader. Shame.
