(PLTM) - The BVI Christian Council (BVICC) has announced that Apostle George Rodney is the new President of the council.
In a press release, the BVICC stated that, in a general meeting of the council held on 27th March 2023, Apostle George Rodney was elected as its new President, replacing Bishop Ismael Charles.
The following persons were re-elected: Mrs. Rosemarie Flax – Vice President; Pastor Nolma Chalwell – Treasurer; and Pastor Lesia Grazette – Secretary.
The Reverend Dr. Melvin A. Turnbull was elected the new Public Relations Officer.
The new executive body met on 4th April, 2023 where the new President of BVICC, Apostle Rodney laid out three major items as his focus during his tenure: Fostering unity among the brethren, Addressing the social ills in the community, and Empowering the youth.
President Rodney said, “I’m humbled by this opportunity to serve... I take the matter of unity very seriously... our society is plagued with many ills... and we must empower our young people.”
Bishop Rodney pledged that under his leadership efforts will be made to increase the visibility and relevance of the Council.
