(PLTM) - A woman is now dead following an accident in Purcell Estate, on Saturday November 26.

The woman was identified as Ms. Brenda Bell, an employee of Riteway (RTW).

According to reports received by BVI Platinum News, the woman was in the parking lot next to the One Mart parking lot when the driver of a motor vehicle lost control, plunged through a fence and struck her.

She died at the scene.

"I can confirm that a female succumbed to injuries sustained last night [November 26] as a result of a traffic accident while she stood in a lot opposite to One-Mart Supermarket. Investigations are ongoing," said Diane Drayton, Public Relations Officer at the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF).
