Bell Vue Man Charged In Shooting Death Of Vincentian Man

(PLTM) - The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force has announced that one male has been charged with murder in the shooting death of Corey Butler on Tuesday evening, June 21.
Charged is Akeem Durrant, 35, of Belle Vue.
In addition to murder, Durrant was also charged with robbery and possession of a controlled drug with intent to supply. He will appear before the Magistrate’s Court at the next available sitting.
Corey Butler was wounded in the Scatliffe Alley area around 6:30pm Tuesday evening. He was pronounced dead shortly after arrival at the Dr. D. Orlando Smith Hospital.
