(PLTM) - A tropical storm warning is in effect for the BVI, according to the Department of Disaster Management (DDM).

According to the department, the Antigua Met Office has advised that based on the potential impact of tropical cyclone nine on the territory, it has issued a tropical storm warning for the BVI.

A tropical storm warning means that tropical storm conditions are expected somewhere within the warning area within 36 hours.
