(PLTM) - The twenty two (22) medical professionals from the Republic of Cuba arrived in the BVI this afternoon, July 25 as BVI prepares to expand the reopening of its borders in the midst of COVID-19.
The team arrived to a warm BVI welcome from officials including Premier and Finance Minister, Hon. Andrew Fahie and Health Minister, Hon. Carvin Malone at the TB Lettsome International Airport.
The team comprises of internist doctors, emergency response doctors, intensive care specialist and nurses and those trained in infectious diseases.
Premier Fahie had assured that the medical professionals will be tested for COVID-19 and subject to the 14-day quarantine prior to commencing work.
