Police Appeal For Witnesses In Castro's Murder

(PLTM) - Police are seeking witnesses or persons with any information into last Friday's shooting, which left 25 year-old year Jerry Castro dead.

Police said that officers responded to a call of a shooting close to OneMart Warehouse in Purcell Estate around 8pm that evening, and found the motionless body Castro, of Pasea Estate.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

"No other persons reported with injuries. No arrests have been made in this matter," police stated on Tuesday, August 14.

Anyone who may have witnessed the shooting or have any information that can assist police in identifying a possible suspect in this matter is asked to contact the Major Crime Team at 368-9342 or the RVIPF Intelligence Unit at 368-9339.
