Scar Charged With Snoopy's Murder

Members of the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force have cracked the murder case of Devern Stanley, known as Snoopy, by charging a 27 year-old man of Major Bay.

On Sunday afternoon, November 5, police confirmed that members of the Serious Crime Investigation Team arrested and charged Vicardo Farrell, aka Scar, for the murder of Stanley.

Stanley's family reported him missing on the June 5, 2016, then eight days shy of him being missing for over two months, his body was discovered in Rouges Bay.

DNA testing was needed to confirm that the body found was that of Stanley.

The Pathologist concluded that the cause of death was blunt force trauma to the head.

Commissioner of Police, Mr. Micheal Matthews said that despite the challenges posed by the passage of hurricanes Irma and Maria, the police are still vigorously pursuing those responsible for serious crimes.

He said that this is to ensure victims and their families know that the police have not given up on ensuring justice takes place on their behalf.
