Mozart Peters, also known as “Dexter”, remains missing despite weeks of extensive searches across Tortola, the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) has confirmed.
In a September 30 statement, police said the search remains active, with investigators assessing information, pursuing leads and reviewing evidence to establish his whereabouts.
Peters was reported missing on August 17. Since then, several police units have conducted searches with support from outside agencies, volunteers, community groups and residents.
Police thanked those assisting, including family members, the Department of Disaster Management, Immigration Department personnel and the St. John’s Rescue Team.
Investigators are renewing their appeal to anyone who may have seen or encountered Peters since his disappearance, stressing that even a small piece of information could prove significant.
Peters is approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall, with a dark complexion and stocky build. He was last seen wearing a white vest and light-blue underpants, with no shoes.
Anyone with information is asked to call 311, contact the nearest police station or speak with any RVIPF officer.
