Two masked men robbed a well-known business along Blackburn Highway in Purcell on Friday night, taking cash from two registers, according to the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF).

Police said the men, dressed in black, entered the establishment shortly before officers received a report at 9.30 p.m. and demanded cash.

One appeared to be carrying a handgun. The pair fled with the money, and no injuries were reported.

In a release issued on Tuesday, 29 September, the RVIPF said officers had attended the scene and made initial enquiries.

Detectives are asking anyone who witnessed the robbery or noticed suspicious activity nearby to call the Intelligence Unit on 368-9512. Information can also be given anonymously to Crime Stoppers BVI on 800-8477.

Police said all information would be treated in confidence.
The RVIPF also reminded business owners and the public to remain vigilant and report suspicious activity.
