(PLTM) - The current curfew from 7.00 pm to 6.00 am will be extended for another 14 days from Sunday May 25, but some restrictions will be relaxed including restaurants being allowed to open for dining as well as increases to the numbers allowed for gatherings.

Premier and Finance Minister, Hon. Andrew Fahie at a press conference on Thursday afternoon, May 21 said that Cabinet decided that restaurants will be allowed to re-open for dining purposes in accordance with the social distancing guidelines, effective May 24.

Further, Cabinet amended the opening hours of all beaches from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. effective from May 24 for the purposes of exercise and therapy.

He said that Cabinet also considered and decided on an increase for the size of gatherings from 20 persons to one person per 64 sq. ft. and up to a maximum of 50 persons, as certified by the Social and Monitoring Task Force, to take effect on May 24.
