Update: Two Charged In Robbery At Capriccios

(PLTM) - Two persons have been charged in relation to the robbery at Capriccios Restaurant, located on the Waterfront Drive, opposite the Road Town Ferry Dock.

According to the Police Information Office, Jamoy Estridge, 27 of Long Bay was charged with robbery as well as possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, while Oran Glasgow, 23 of Carrot Bay was charged with robbery, following investigations into the robbery.

The release noted that they were remanded into custody at Her Majesty’s Prison and will appear at the Magistrate’s Court on July 15, 2019

Police are continuing to urge members of the general public who may have information pertaining to any investigation to call the three-digit access number 311 or the Intelligence Unit directly at 368-9339.

A cashier was injured when a lone gunman targeted Capriccio di Mare restaurant on Waterfront Drive last evening, May 14.

BVI Platinum News understands that the restaurant was about to close just before 10 pm, when the masked gunman pounced on the cashier.

The perpetrator then gun butted the cashier several times and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

It is unclear if patrons were at the establishment during the robbery.
