Man Charged With Attempted Murder In EE Shooting

(PLTM) - A 21 year-old Long Look resident has been charged with attempted murder, following the Monday night shooting in Old Plantation, East End, Tortola which has left one man hospitalised.

Police Communications Officer, Ms. Diane Drayton in a release to the media, indicated that officers of the Criminal Investigations Department arrested and charged Kenai Jacobs with attempted murder in relation to the incident.

Jacobs has also been charged with possession of a controlled drug.

During a search of his residence, the police disclosed that a quantity of cocaine was found.

On Monday, April 15, around 10:30 p.m, the victim—a Fat Hogs Bay resident—was shot to his chest in the vicinity of Fine Foods. The man was rushed to Peebles Hospital in critical condition.

Investigations into the shooting continue, and the police is seeking information in relation to the incident.

They are asking that persons with information make contact through the three-digit access number—311— or the Intelligence Unit directly at 368-9339.

A man has been arrested in connection to last night’s shooting, which left one man critical.

The details surrounding the shooting which occurred around 10:30 p.m last night, April 15, in Old Plantation, East End are still sketchy.

The police is seeking the public’s assistance in investigating the shooting which left a Fat Hogs Bay resident nursing a gunshot wound to his chest.

Persons with information in relation to the incident are asked to come forward and contact investigators on access number 311 or the Intelligence Unit directly at 368-9339.

A man is currently in critical condition after he was shot late last night, April 15.

The victim reportedly received one gunshot wound to his chest. He was rushed to Peebles Hospital for medical attention, where he is currently listed as critical.

According to information received from credible sources, the shooting occurred in close vicinity of Fine Foods in East End.
