(PLTM) - This year the Territory has two Road March champions, as Virgin Island Based Entertainment (VIBE) and Xtreme Band tied for the coveted Band of the Year title.
During the prize giving ceremony that was held at the Festival Village on August 6, neither of the bands were present to collect the coveted “Band of the Year” trophy, which Chairman of the Festivals and Fairs Committee, Trefor Grant announced would have to be shared between the two.
In commenting on the tie and the fact that there was only one trophy, Grant referenced a popular song and said, “They will have to half it.”
VIBE won the title for its song “Flashing Lights,” while XTreme won for its song “Feel Like Feting.”
In commenting on the selection, Grant said, “The two bands put out music and the fans loved it and the judges loved it. They are both Road March champions.”
