Prisoner Stabbed

One inmate of the Her Majesty’s Prison is hospitalized, while another is in police custody after a stabbing incident at the Balsam Ghut penitentiary on Monday morning, July 9.

According to information, Mikhail Howe, 28, of Cane Garden Bay, was stabbed by another inmate with a knife.

The alleged attacker is a Belonger and native of St. Kitts and Nevis, who is on remand for conspiracy to murder and attempted murder.

Howe was arrested on June 30 of this year and charged with escaping lawful custody.
