So you really cannot get over slavery because some of us choose to celebrate the Queen's birthday? Isn't that just a little precious and self-absorbed? Don't forget it was Britain that paid BVIslanders to release their slaves and sent the British navy around the world to enforce that freedom. They did that for 32 years before the US got round to abolishing slavery. That seems to get conveniently forgotten by some of us who prefer to wallow in sanctimonious ill-informed drivel. Bad things happen all the time, sure. But Britain did a lot of good for us and if it were not for them I would not be free now.

My parents didn't allowed me to attend this madness and I hope to see the day when we no long celebrated this reminder of slavery and colonization.

Black people are so darn confused. You don't want the colonization yet you want to british or american passport. The passport means you are subject to that country. This is not a perfect world and this is how things is. I myself have mixed feelings on certain things but realize the benefits of certain situations. Why do people come to droves to the america or the uk if is so racist? We here got life with benefits others dont have.
