(PLTM) - Two male Virgin Gorda residents were charged with firearm-related offences in relation to a robbery over the weekend.
Richard Creque, 44, of North Sound was charged will robbery and possession of an illegal firearm with intent to injury while Neil St. Rose, 42, a native of St. Lucia, residing in Gun Creek was charged with possession of illegal firearm and criminal damage.
Inquiries indicate that the two men were entering a vehicle outside a bar in Virgin Gorda on Saturday night when a firearm fell from the pocket of Creque. A patron in the parking lot picked up the firearm and placed it in his pocket. St. Rose’s threats of having another firearm resulted in the patron agreeing to a search. The firearm was retrieved and then used to rob the patron of money and his car keys.
The patron subsequently ran and a firearm was discharged. Both men then fled the scene.
No one was injured in the incident. The firearm is still to be located.
