(PLTM) - Break-ins at businesses in the Road Town and Wickham’s Cay II area have spiked, with the latest burglary at ISMART on deCastro Street over the weekend.
Laptops, cellular phones and other electronic items were taken.
Police said that targeted were other electronic stores, as well construction offices where valuable tools and cash are stored.
Police believe that the same group of offenders may be responsible for break-ins and are warning retailers to ensure their premises are properly secured with alarms and CCTV.
Officers are particularly interested in hearing from anyone who may have been offered new, cheap electrical items.
Persons with information are asked to contact the Criminal Investigations Department through the access number 311. Persons can also call the RVIPF Intelligence Unit at 368-9339. All information will be held in the strictest confidence.
