(PLTM) - As authorities begin to release more information, Police have confirmed the murder of a 43 year-old man, who was shot and killed days following the passage of Hurricane Irma.

Today, October 3, the force stated that its Major Crime Team is continuing their investigations into the murder of Julio Pineda Ceasar, of Greenland.

Ceasar was shot at his home on the evening of September 10, and subsequently died of his injuries on September 12 at the Peebles Hospital.

One male was arrested and interviewed in relation to the murder; however, he was released pending further investigations.

Persons that can assist with information are asked to call Police through their emergency numbers.
