Residents will have an opportunity to hold live discussions with the Territory's leader this Sunday, March 17 via his Facebook page.
Premier and Finance Minister, Hon. Dr. Orlando Smith said he intends to hold a live chat as he continues to utilize the social networking site Facebook to interact with residents.
"I shall host my first Premier Live Chat on Facebook this Sunday, 17th March at 5:00pm right here on my Facebook wall and I'm looking forward to interacting with all of you. Come with your suggestions, your concerns, questions and opinions and let's discuss the issues, together," Premier Smith said today, March 15 via his Facebook wall.
He said the live chat will last for an hour and a half and is an initiative designed to enhance his Government's outreach to the public.
"So I hope you'll join me. Spread the word," the Premier said.
A day after taking up office as Premier back in November 2011,
Premier Smith assured that he would keep his Facebook page open and over the years, the page has been active and in most cases have attracted direct responses from Premier Smith to residents.
Other members of the Government are also plugged into the social networking site. They include Hon. Myron Walwyn, Education and Culture Minister; Hon. Alvera Maduro-Caines, Sixth District Representative; Deputy Premier and Natural Resources and Labour Minister, Hon. Dr. Kedrick Pickering; Hon. Ronnie Skelton, Health and Social Development Minister; Hon. Archibald Christian, At Large Representative; Hon. Marlon Penn, Eighth District Representative; and Hon. Delores Christopher, Fifth District Representative.
