Popular DJ and radio personality, Ian Thomas known as 'DJ Commodore' may go before a nine member jury and Justice Albert Redhead later this month to face trial for rape and kidnapping.
When his matter was recently called in the High Court, it was agreed that the matter be set as a backup trial on March 18.
Since being committed to stand trial in the High Court following a Preliminary Inquiry in the Magistrate's Court, Thomas' case has faced numerous setbacks.
Thomas, who is charged with rape and kidnapping involving a minor, will be represented by lawyer Herbert McKenzie.
It is alleged that the teen is claiming that Thomas took her to his Josiah's Bay residence where the incident occurred.
The accused remains on bail.
