Foolishness Takes Cash Prize At VolleyRama

Foolishness led by Tyalia Nibbs defeated Velocity led by Drexel Glasgow 25-9, 17-25 and 26-24 to win the inaugural VolleyRama Championship on Sunday, January 27.
The Championship was staged by the British Virgin Islands Amateur Volleyball Association (BVIAVA) and is expected to become an annual feature.
Public Relations Officer, Mr. Cleave Farrington confirmed that team Foolishness took home the cash pool of $80. He stated that the entrance fee was $20 and only four teams entered the championship, which he said was disappointing.
The BVIAVA has also announced the opening of its 2013 Power League slated to start this weekend, Saturday February 2, at the Road Town Multipurpose Sports Complex at 5 p.m.
All Teams are asked to be at the Complex at 4 p.m. in full uniform for the march past. Teams who have not paid their registration fees of US$250.00 are asked to do so prior to the opening of the league.
