Man Injured During Armed Robbery At Home

A man was treated for injuries sustained in an armed robbery at his home on the morning of Friday, March 15, 2013.
Police have confirmed with BVI Platinum News that the man was at his home at Vanterpool Estate in East End when two male persons entered his home and attacked him.
According to police, one of the men had what is believed to be a gun and the other a crowbar. The intruders reportedly held the man at gunpoint and demanded cash.
The attacker who was armed with the crowbar, hit the man with the crowbar. He sustained injuries to his left hand in the area of his elbow.
Police said the men escaped with $200.00 and two cellular phones.
Police stated that the firearm was not discharged during the robbery.
