Female Charged For Uttering Forged Document

As part of an investigation into a forged document presented to the BVI Immigration Department in 2022, a female was arrested on July 4, 2024.

Tasheka Bernard, 31, of Cane Garden Bay, Tortola, was charged with one count of Conspiracy to Provide False Information to a Person Employed in a Public Service, contrary to sections 124 and 346 of the 2013 Criminal Code, and one count of Conspiracy to Uttering a Forged Document, contrary to sections 257 and 346 of the 2013 Criminal Code.

She was granted $20,000 bail to appear at the Magistrate’s Court on September 12, 2024.

This investigation is being led by the COI Police Investigation Team. As the matter is now in sub judice the RVIPF will make no further comment.
