(PLTM) - GIS - The Department of Labour and Workforce Development has successfully completed its Résumé Writing Workshop, held on June 27.

This event was a pivotal initiative aimed at empowering job seekers with crucial skills to enhance their employability.

Led by Mrs. Eulet Evelyn, Sister Island Human Resources Manager and seasoned educator, the workshop was attended by nine enthusiastic participants. Mrs. Evelyn, renowned for her academic achievements including a Masters in Literacy and extensive teaching experience, guided attendees through essential resume writing techniques over a three-hour interactive session.

"We are very pleased with the outcomes of our Résumé Writing Workshop," Mr. Mervin Hastings, Acting Labour Commissioner, said.

He added, "Mrs. Evelyn's expertise and the dedication of our participants made this a truly enriching experience."

The workshop covered fundamental topics such as crafting impactful summaries, structuring work experience, and presenting educational qualifications effectively. Participants left with either newly created resumes or significantly enhanced versions, thanks to Mrs. Evelyn's personalised guidance and mentorship.

The Workforce Development Manager Mrs. Roxane De Windt-Toussaint also commented on the effectiveness of the workshop. "We received overwhelmingly positive feedback from participants who appreciated the hands-on approach and practical insights shared," Mrs. De Windt-Toussaint reiterated.

The Department of Labour and Workforce Development, will be hosting additional workshops in the Sister Islands. More information will be provided in due course.
