Cordell O’Neal, Kanmi O’Neal Among Three Charged For Ammo

(PLTM) - Detectives of the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force have charged three males in relation to the recent recovery of ammunition.

Police confirmed that Cordell O'Neal, 38-year-old of Fresh Water Pond, Kanmi O’Neal, 34-year-old of Pockwood Pond and Jelani Christopher, 31 year old, of Cane Garden Bay were all jointly charged with Unlawful possession of explosives.

On Wednesday, September 20, 2023, Police received information that men, armed with firearms, were traversing Road Town, raising concerns for the safety of residents.

As a result, several vehicles, including one occupied by the three men, were stopped and searched in the Road Town area. During the search a loaded magazine with 31 rounds of high-velocity ammunition was recovered.

All three men will remain in police custody pending their appearance at the Magistrate’s Court at the next available sitting.
