Gov't Seeks Proposals For Waste Water Treatment Plant Management

(PLTM) - The Government of the Virgin Islands has announced its request for proposals (RFP) for the management, operation, and maintenance of the Waste Water Treatment Plant at Burt Point and Cane Garden Bay, Tortola.

The proposed scope of work encompasses the provision of all necessary plant, labor, equipment, materials, personnel, staff, and resources required for the effective management, operation, and maintenance of the wastewater treatment plant at Burt Point and Cane Garden Bay on Tortola for a seven-year period.

According to Mrs. Ishma Rhymer, Procurement Coordinator, eligible tenderers must meet specific criteria, including providing key personnel relevant to the scope of services, a staff organizational chart, and a list of wastewater treatment plants managed and operated over the past 15 years.

Additionally, tenderers are required to hold a valid Trade License for 2023 and submit Certificates of Good Standing in respect of Social Security and taxes, including Payroll and Income Tax, from VI Social Security Board, National Health Insurance, and Inland Revenue.

Bid documents will be available for interested parties starting Monday, 11th September, 2023, and can be obtained on weekdays between 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. upon request via email at procurement@gov.vg with the subject title "Manage and Operate the Waste Water Treatment Plants at Burt Point and Cane Garden Bay."

A virtual pre-tender meeting via Webex is scheduled for Wednesday, 27th September, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. The access code and password will be provided prior to the meeting. This will be followed by site visits, and all prospective tenderers are invited to attend.

Interested tenderers should submit one (1) original, three (3) copies, and one (1) flash drive containing the bidder’s documents. The original bid should be placed in a sealed envelope and marked "ORIGINAL," with the additional copies placed in another sealed envelope and marked "COPIES."

Both envelopes should then be placed in an outer envelope and marked "Manage and Operate the Waste Water Treatment Plant at Burt Point and Cane Garden Bay" and addressed to The Chairman, Central Tenders Board, Ministry of Finance's Procurement Unit

All tenders must be deposited in the Tender Box at the Ministry of Finance (Procurement Unit), RFG Place, Second Floor, Road Town, Tortola, by the bearer not later than 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, 17th October, 2023. Tenders will not be received after the Tender Box is closed.

Tenders will be opened on Tuesday, 17th October, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the Procurement Unit, Ministry of Finance, RFG Place. Tenderers are invited to witness the opening via Webex, with access codes and passwords provided before the opening of tenders.
