(PLTM) - The BVI Airpot Authority has confirmed that the TB Lettsome International Airport at Beef Island has resumed normal operations .
Managing Director , Kurt Manel said repair works have been completed on the cargo aircraft which was disabled on runway 25 earlier today, June 3, 2023.

The Terrance B. Lettsome International Airport has been shut down following an incident involving a cargo plane.
Officials stated that a cargo plane blew a tire upon landing at the airport and is currently disabled on runway 25.
According to the BVI Airports Authority (BVIAA), its operation team along with an operator are arranging to have the spare parts to delivered to allow for repairs and removal of the aircraft.
The authority hopes to resume operations by 1 pm today, ahead of the arrival of American Airlines direct flight from Miami.
The closure will result in disruptions across airline networks.
The closure comes two days following the inaugual direct commerical flights between BVI and Miami.
