(PLTM) - The BVIAA Dag Samuels Development meet series # 6 continues this weekend, Saturday March 10th, 2018 at the A.O. Shirley Recreational Grounds beginning at 10 a.m. with long Jump (u11 to open), shot put, 600m (u15)/800m (u17 to open), 400m hurdles (open), 100m hurdles (open), 100m (u13 to open), 60m (u9), discus, 300m (u13-u15), 400m (u17 to open), 1500m, triple jump (u17 to open), 150m (u9-u11) and 200m (u13 to open).
Results from overseas athletes that competing recently indoors as follows:
NJCAA Championship March 2 - 3 • Akeem Bradshaw of Iowa Central CC improved his 6.19m leap to 7.44m (24ft 5 inches) in the long jump placing 2nd; he improved his previous 14.28m in the triple jump with a leap of 14.57m (47-9 ¾) • Tarique Moses of Central Arizona clocked a non-advancing time of 1:21.38 in the Men 600m • Adriano Gumbs of Barton County clocked a non-advancing time of 1:22.15 in the 600m • Nelda Huggins of Iowa Central CC ranked 1st going into the 60m dash finals with a time of 7.37s and placed 2nd in the finals with a time of 7.42 making her a 2-time indoor champion
Cal State LA Invitational • Tarika Moses unattached clocked 56.67 in the 400m dash for the win and 24.50 in the 200m dash to place second • Beyonce Defreitas of Sprint Tech Track Club clocked 12.01 in the 100m finals placing 3rd and 24.02 in the 200m dash for the win
Other Competitions • Adaejah Hodge of Legacy Athletics placed 1st in the girls age 11-12, 100meter dash with a time of 12.90, 3rd in the 200m dash with a time of 27.64 and 1st in the high jump with a jump of 4-02.00.
