(PLTM) - In this photo: Workers remove debris inside the Supreme Court (called Commercial Court), which was affected by the August floods and September hurricanes this year.

“We have finally started working on the Commercial Court. They want to bring it back as soon as possible, so we will try our best to get it ready in time,” said Ryan Adams, Construction Manager, Larry Adams Construction.

The Commercial Court is a defining monument of the BVI’s financial services sector, and presides over millions of dollars worth of global investments yearly. It’s operations also fuel local trust firms and law firms that manage global companies incorporated in the BVI.

It was moved to St. Lucia after the passage of Hurricane Irma in September.

Rebuild BVI is photo series that captures the work being done to restore the Territory that was hit by Hurricane Irma on September 6, 2017.
