(PLTM) - Nature's Little Secret is a wish come true for one young girl.

Thanks to the US based Make A Wish Foundation, Paige Grossman’s dream of visiting and exploring the British Virgin Islands is in motion.

The 14 year-old, who is facing End Stage Renal Disease, arrived in the Territory this morning, August 14, with her family.

Paige underwent a kidney transplant last summer and has been patiently waiting for her wish to be granted since that time.

Her wish was one based solely on adventure and snorkeling, which encouraged her to research ideal destinations. Once online, she came across the Territory and was struck by its beauty.

“It looked really pretty, so I decided to come here,” she told BVI Platinum News exclusively.

She noted that she never knew of the BVI.

“I wanted somewhere outside the US. I wanted somewhere where I can snorkel and I love what I saw.”

Having now arrived in the BVI, she expressed that her expectations were exceeded.

“I started taking pictures from the plane. It is really pretty. I like the color of the water.”

While here, Paige and her family will explore the BVI and a number of its national parks, including The Baths in Virgin Gorda, as well as snorkeling, zip lining, kayaking, swimming with the dolphins, and much more.

Deputy Director of the BVI Toursit Board, Rhodni Skelton expressed that it's an honor that the family chose the BVI, and they will ensure they enjoy their time here.

“We are glad that they chose the BVI. In the Caribbean, there are a lot of beautiful places and countries. We are happy they chose us and we want them to have the best experience here.”

The family will be escorted by James Kelly of the BVI Tourist Board.

Make A Wish Foundation grants the wish of children in the United States and its territories, who are diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition.

On average, a wish is granted every 34 minutes. The foundation believes that a wish experience can be a game-changer.

Paige and her family are expected to depart this Friday, August 18.
