(PLTM) - The opposition Virgin Islands Party (VIP) has up its communication with the people of the BVI, and will be launching its new television show this evening, Thursday, July 20, on CBN channel 51.
The party's President, Natalio 'Sowande' Wheatley, said that the programme entitled, "VIP Moving Forward", will be a live call in talk show broadcasting every 1st and 3rd Thursday, from 8-9pm.
The first programme, which is on this evening, will be hosted by Wheatley, and the guests will include Hon. Andrew Fahie, Leader of the Opposition and Chairman of the VIP; former At-Large candidate, Dr. Karl Dawson; and Carvin Malone, local businessman.
The programme will focus on issues pertinent to the development and governance of the Virgin Islands.
In the past, Hon. Fahie has stated that the VIP will not be party to anyone who wants to hold on to the past, noting that they are in the process of rebuilding and rebranding.
The First District Representative assured that the party will be in a good position for the next general elections.
"The VIP will be ready for the next general elections, despite the naysayers. I have been Chairman of the Virgin Islands Party for only five months and I am proud to say that we have made tremendous strides," Hon. Fahie stated in May.
He said, "We have not been sitting idly by in disunity like some are now trying to edge in people's minds through other forums and the media."
