Youth In Clean Up Efforts

A group of young persons in the First District, took part in a summer beautification clean up exercise this week in the community.

Eleven youths between ages 13-17 years old, painted, refurbished and beautified the park in Carrot Bay, across from Clem's.

The exercise is part of the Department of Waste Management's annual summer programme, in conjunction with the Representative for the First District, Hon. Andrew Fahie.

(PLTM) - "This programme has evolved over the lifespan of many administrations. I thank the Department of Waste Management for their outstanding oversight and management of the programme," Hon. Fahie commented.

He added, "Apparently due to budget constraints, only eleven First District youth were allowed, but they worked like 1100 youths."

Hon. Fahie said that he is proud of those who participated.
