Self proclaimed soca queen, Destra Garcia of Trinidad and Tobago, delivered yet another powerful performance in the BVI, this time in Virgin Gorda (VG), a first for her.
"I love the BVI and you love me...But I have never been to Virgin Gorda," Destra said as she warmed up the crowd at the Bernice Sprauve Festiville during that island's Easter Festival celebrations, this morning, April 17.
Destra, who calls the BVI her second home, did not disappoint her fans, as she engaged and entertained.
At one point in her performance, she invited persons on stage to gyrate.
(PLTM) - She performed several of her hits, including "Lucy", "Just A Little Bit" and "Bacchannal", among many others.
In recent years, the soca star has been performing every year at festival in Tortola.
"I already got my second passport (BVI passport)...I am now even speaking like a Virgin Islander," she told the crowd.
Prior to Destra's performance, patrons were treated to dynamic beats and musical selections from local band, Showtime Band.
The Rise and Shine Tramp takes place this morning, followed by the parade along Spanish Town later today.
