Update: Man Held In Ashy's Murder Released

(PLTM) - The man who was arrested in connection with the murder of Ashburn 'Ashy' Dawson has since been released from police custody.

A day after issuing a press release that an arrest was made in connection with the March 10th murder, police today, March 24 said that the person is no longer being held.

"The man arrested yesterday in relation to the murder investigation was released pending further investigations," police stated.

Dawson was shot and killed execution style in the area of the Sunday Morning Well.

In its press release yesterday, police stated that the Major Crime Team supported by the Immediate Response Unit carried out two search warrants earlier that morning.

Police investigations are ongoing in the matter.
