(PLTM) - A driver was injured after slamming into a utility pole in the Sea Cows Bay area early Sunday morning, March 19.

According to information, the driver of a Wrangler, PA 685 lost control of his vehicle, crashing into the mainline pole which is located in the area of Struggling Man’s Place.

The impact resulted in the pole being uprooted.

Electricity has since been affected in the neighboring areas.

"The team is currently mobilizing to begin repairs which are projected to take approximately 2 and a half hours," the BVI Electricity Corporation stated.

Police are investigating the accident.
