Update: Police Seek Assistance In Penn’s Death

(PLTM) - The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force is encouraging persons with any information relevant to the death of Alston Penn to come forward.

Penn was found lying in a pool of blood early this morning, March 10 at Windy Hill.

According to police, Penn was pronounced dead at the scene around 6:37 am.

Cause of death is still to be determined.

Persons with information are asked to contact the Major Crime Team directly at 368-5682 or the RVIPF Intelligence Unit at 368-9339.

Persons can also report the information anonymously to Crimestoppers through its Miami-based hotline number 800-TIPS (8477).

Police are investigating the discovery of the body of a male, laying in a pool of blood in the area of Windy Hill this morning, Friday, March 10.

BVI Platinum News understands that dead is 39 year-old Alston Penn, who resided in East End.

Information reaching BVI Platinum News further revealed that the deceased apparently sustained a blow to his head with an object.

When BVI Platinum News arrived on the scene, police had already cordoned off the area. Traffic through Windy Hill was also temporarily interrupted.

Police have not yet released a statement on the incident.

More information will be provided as it becomes available.
