(PLTM) - Under The Tree and Cavaliers recorded more victories in Division One and the Premier Division in the 2017 BVI Cricket Association and Flow Superfast LTE Cricket Tournament.
Against Under The Tree, the Under 15 Youth Academy team won the toss and opted to bat first in Division One of the league. The team posted 106 runs with 4 wickets lost from the 20 overs, with contributions by Kemal Pancho (22), Marcus Butler (23) and Jerome Pereira (26).
Up for their turn, for Under The Tree, Travis Jack picked up 2 wickets for 7 runs from his 4 overs. Under the Tree were made to work much harder than expected for their win by some clever bowling, as well as some athletic fielding.
Marcus Butler in particular pulled off an outstanding performance at mid-wicket, assisting Under The Tree to reel in 59 runs with 4 wickets taken.
Their win was secured with Rudolph Davis making 46 runs to steer his team home with five wickets conquered.
In the Premier Division, Grenada suffered defeat by the Cavaliers. Batting first, Grenada secured 4 wickets and posted 153 runs for the Cavaliers to beat.
Sunday, March 5 will see Grenada hitting the field against the Royal Knights, and then the VG Spartans will face off with the U15 Youth Academy.
